Manufest 2017 is Here
Your Manufacturing Alliance is all about closing the skills gap. Many of our best employees are inching towards retirement age and there is a shortfall of young talent ready to fill these open jobs. One of the solutions is to Build Awareness at the High School and Middle School level. Well here is one way to speak with some of the brightest students and their parents, guidance counselors and the influencers in their lives. Kids are being told that they need to develop a strong foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math but many are unsure why that is important.
Show Students Why STEM is Important
By exhibiting at the event, you can show off why students should consider a career in manufacturing. Display videos of How Things Are Made. We encourage employers to display some of the cool parts you make and why they are important and be prepared to answer questions. It is time for you to dispel any myths parents and counselors may have about manufacturing.
